The vessel is of the following- dimensions - . —length, B.P. 115 feet breadth, 22 feet ; and depth , 12 feet 9 inches . The vessel was named Ben Heilem

The Loss
HMT Ben Heilem ran aground near the pier at Berwick upon Tweed in poor weather. Attempts to salvage the vessel failed due to bad weather conditions and the vessel was abandoned.

HMT Ben Heilem was given the UKHO Wreck Card number 4475.
The card was created in 1919 and stated: 24.3.19 WK IN POSN 350.5 DEGS 0.13M FROM BERWICK PIER LT OR 554600N 015900W. (SNO GRANTON). BR STD
In 1926 this was amended to Dangerous Wreck (DW)
A new position was added in 1934: 554601N, 015900W
In 1997 the Berwick Harbour Commission stated wreck should be deleted from chart and the wreck was amended to ''DEAD''
A survey by Gardline in 2002 failed to locate the wreck.
